About
CasualCareers exists because most job boards weren’t designed for the way shift work actually happens. A bar posts a barback need on Thursday. They need someone by Friday. LinkedIn is built for recruiters who run six-week pipelines. Indeed charges sponsorship fees designed for companies with HR budgets.
Neither of those is the right tool for a seven-table restaurant that needs one more person on the floor this weekend.
We built a shift board. Every listing shows pay rate, hours, and neighborhood upfront — because those are the only three things that matter to someone who can cover the shift. Candidates apply with a name, email, and a short note. Employers read the replies on a simple desk.
We’re backed by the same model as the venues we serve: flat fees, no lock-in unless you want it, and nothing that makes the candidate experience worse in order to extract more from employers.
